
Rudraksha are the universes gift to humanity... through their interesting bio-electric resistive and capacitive properties they offer the wearer various boons and qualities supporting and regulating ones nervous system. They are used for spiritual purposes, to raise ones vibration, for healing, calming the mind... and due to their symbolic nature they are even worshipped as god himself by devotees of Lord Shiva.
These beautiful seeds come in many varieties displaying various numbers of facets (mukhi) which can be counted by observing the virtical lines in each seed. In each facet there will be a seed.. the most common and most affordable type of rudraksha being 5 mukhi, with each bead containing 5 seeds.

Rudraksha beads are either worn as a mala (garland) or as individual beads, traditionally worn in uneaven numbers on the body. They are also used in Japa Malas which are made of 108 beads +1 center bead (guru bead) these Japa Malas are used for meditation practices to count repititions of chanting mantra, to count breaths when used in breathwork such as Pranayama or to keep count of prostrations such as Surya Namaskar (Sun Salutations) in Yoga.
Rudraksha are the most popular beads worn by yogis as they help with practise and the ultimate aim of self realisation as they keep the mind calm, the body regulated and raise ones vibration to aid in all aspects of meditative and spiritual practices.
